next task is, to minimize the textures of the lancia.
Some alpha channel at the normal map textures not needed, some other can be reduced. I'll do the job with care, not that we have the same problem as the chrome of the rims......
btw. I have tested with the KI and 24 Lancia at Monza, FPS good, but CPU usage is 30 sec after the training started >99%. With other cars, i have no problem with the CPU-%. For the first i have the speculation it is the suspension animation, but with disabled animation same CPU-%. But i think, the CPU-% is not related to the textures.
Sorry, i had made a mistake on the gauge texture from the lancia, the rpm gauge contains "VEGLIA Borletti". Update....and copy to the folder TEXTURE_RELEASE_KN5\ BETA 3 and BETA 4.
The historicX guys give a litte feedback to the lancia
Jaimie wrote: We noticed the shifting light of the Lancia looks a bit odd. It seems as you're applying too much environmental mapping to that object. If you ask me I'd set the material to look as the dash warning lights of Kunos' 908. My two cents ;)
In my opinion correct...... so i have made a little test, decrease the contrast/brightness of the texture and modified the reflection map.
Update....and copy to the folder TEXTURE_RELEASE_KN5\drm_monastir and monastier_2
Please take a look to the new files and if you like it, put it into the kn5. Otherwise take the old texture and delete the "VEGLIA Borletti" and update the kn5.
the last two month i drive the DRM REVIVAL at SimRacingSystem and i a see that the lod c from the lancia is not optimal in the rear view. The lod c have no 3D engine, only a surface with a texture from the rear view of the engine, you can remember. Thats looks crappy, when you drive behind the lancia.
So i made a lod c engine and save some poly for the cockpit_lr. Both file as a fbx file uploaded to SCHROTT\LANCIA.
Can you take a look and hope we can use the files for the lod c.That would be great
